Voter Registration Opportunity
In Person - Ovid Township Clerk Office at the Ovid Township Hall 1015 Baese Court.
Mail-In - Voter registration forms are available on-line, and at the Township Clerk Office. By law, voters registering by mail must appear in person at a polling place the first time they vote.
Any Secretary of State’s Office - Young adults may register to vote before they are eighteen (18), if they will be eighteen years old by the date of the election in which they wish to vote. To be eligible to vote in an election, a person must be registered to vote in the proper jurisdiction at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the election.
Important Notice: Michigan Law requires that the same address be used for voter registration and driver's license purposes. Therefore, if the residence address you provide when registering to vote differs from the address shown on your Michigan driver's license or personal identification card, the Secretary of State will automatically update your driver's license or personal identification card address and mail you an address update sticker for your driver's license or personal identification card.
When to Register: You must register at least 30 days before the election. This gives the clerk time to process the forms and send you a Voter Identification Card. You must also re-register to vote whenever you move to a new city or township.
Sample Ballot
Prior to the Election, a sample ballot will be available for viewing at the Ovid Township office and should also be printed in the local newspaper. When available, you may view the images of the sample ballot below.
Voters will be able to use this sample to become more aware of which proposals and/or candidates will appear on the ballot and be prepared to vote at the polls on the day of elections. You may carry a copy of the sample ballot with you into the voting booth.
